Product Description

The Atomos Sumo19 is the the first 19" production monitor that also records 4K 12bit Raw, 10bit ProRes/DNxHR, plus 1080p60 live switching & recording.

DIT Cart:

Get HDR on set in real time with on the fly Log to HDR & PQ/HLG playback complete with mission critical scopes such as waveform, focus peaking, false colour & vectorscope on the calibrated screen. Beyond monitoring, with up to 4Kp60 & 2Kp240 recording you can generate instant dailies & proxies direct to affordable & available SSD media.

Focus Puller:

The combined monitor-recorder in the larger 19" size gives focus pullers instant on set access to footage with focus peaking, 2:1/1:1 zoom & the ability to tag footage as XML files. The high bright 1200nit monitor, sturdy built-in armour aluminium alloy design & variety of mounting options makes it a go-anywhere, do-it-all monitor-recorder for focus pullers.

Client / Director Monitor:

Clients & directors can see the amazing true-to-life nature of HDR in real time away from the camera crew with precision mapping of Log from every camera maker & playback of PQ/HLG signals. Full playback controls & XML tagging means that they can also review footage & even create an instant client lightweight ProResLT copy with baked in LUTs & audio onto affordable SSD media. You can also choose to view both Log & standard gamma images with or without LUTs applied. Toggle between different looks with ease in seconds.
Studio Monitor:
In the studio the 19" Sumo becomes an affordable yet incredibly powerful HDR monitor. With 10 stops dynamic range, 10-bit processing & X-Rite calibration it will accept Log, PQ or HLG signals from your grading software & display HDR in all its glory.

Built for Production:

The Aluminium alloy chassis with built-in armour houses ten mounting points around the top/bottom/side, a rear panel VESA mount & an included stand for a variety of mounting configurations. Alongside of the XLR connections for power and balanced audio, there is a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and built-in speakers. The optional mounting plates connect dual V-Lock or Anton Bauer batteries work in tandem with our patent pending continuous power system. This allows batteries to be hot swapped to ensure you are never without power in the field.

Monitor. Switch. Record:

Live Switch & Record up to four 1080/60p channels, 4 x ISO record and playback. Make working with multi-cam a breeze. Switch & mix a live record & stream or record 4 x HD ISO recordings using the QuadLink SDI connections. Switch between feeds on screen with cueing, cross fade & hard cuts from the locked sources or tag & adjust final edits with advanced metadata tagging preserving ISO feeds, with the desired final result infinitely editable.

XLR Monitor & Record:

Balanced XLR Monitor & Record with 48V Phantom. Eliminate the need for a separate audio recorder by using the full size XLR connections to connect & power external microphones for balanced analogue audio with dedicated meters & adjustments for frame delay & gain. 48V phantom mics or line level audio are all seamlessly synchronized for the most advanced audio feature set in a monitor today. There is also a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack & built-in speakers for on set instant immersive review or complete internal recording review anytime anywhere with clients or production team.

High Bright for Rec709 Outdoor Shooting:

1200nit 19” calibrated 1920x1080 monitor. The extremely bright 1200nit display means you can accurately monitor, even when outside in full daylight. Additionally, for the ultimate low light performance an optional hood is available. The simplicity of AtomOS means it's only a single tap on screen to bring up focus peaking, 2:1/1:1 zoom, Zebra, False Colour, Frame guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB parade, Vectorscope, Anamorphic desqueeze & a flexible 3D LUT implementation to upload your own LUTs as .cube files.

How does Hire work?

For a trouble free experience please follow these steps.

Step 1:Explore the options then add your gear to the Camera Bag. If what you’re after is not listed please add it in comments or simply Contact Us.

Step 2:View your Camera Bag & select the date & duration of the hire including the desired collection time.

Step 3:Once you're done review your Camera Bag & add any special requirements in the Message field. Urban Cine will follow up with questions &/or answer your questions.

Step 4:Submit to request a quote. You'll receive a copy. Urban Cine will send you a formal quote if required.

Step 5:Pick Up & Return: Typically after 2:00pm the day before the hire, & by 11:00am the day after the hire. Picking up the day before gives you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the equipment & check that everything is in order before your shoot the next day.

Step 6:Payment: For new customers payment is required prior or on collection. If you have a history with Urban Cine a credit account may be offered.

Step 7:Insurance & ID: To ensure insurance for hired equipment is valid Urban Cine Pty. Ltd. asks you to verify your identity. By doing so you are supplying the required 100 points of ID. This will protect both you the Hirer & Urban Cine Pty. Ltd. You will receive a text message. Just follow the prompts. For more info see OCR Labs IDKit

Step 8:Using Equipment: It’s fair & reasonable to expect the hirer has the skillset to use equipment in a respectful & professional manner.

Step 9:Report Issues: Please report equipment failures & breakages. Feedback is important. If you’re experiencing issues with equipment on set please call us asap. Often issues can be rectified over the phone.
